BAHAMAS
What should you pack for Kamalame Cay Bahamas ?
As someone who wears black for about 3/4 of the year wearing all white is a refreshing alternative. The islands call out for crisp whites, beige, taupe and splashes of color. Kamalame is quite casual yet you are still good to get dressed up for dinner in the Great Room which is the beautiful high ceiling dining room that serves gourmet meals all day. If you pack everything white then it’s a simple no brainer. You might want to take a wrap with you at night in case it’s a little chilly. Forget bringing stiletto heels. With all the paths, sand and cobblestone walkways it’s no easy feat for your feet. Bring wedges and flat sandals. The mode of transportation around this large resort is golf carts. They are fun to zip around in under the beautifully landscaped palm tree canopied roads. Bring lots of bikinis because you will be mostly living in them. Sheer, lightweight cover ups to go from the pool to lunch in the great room is all you’ll need. If you are staying in one of the beach houses you have tons of private space and your own beach front with lounges and a hammock under a shady tree. Bring a hat like this Cuban style to keep the sun out of your eyes.

Gucci Runway Spring 2009 still a favorite resort collection
When its summer or you are wearing all white my Tom Ford aviators are my fav. Otherwise my black frameless are Burberry. I usually bring a couple of pairs to wear on vacay.
My Michael Kors canvas bag (minus the red details) is my perfect beach bag. It’s big enough for a towel and magazines and I can throw it in the washing machine later when it gets dirty.

PARIS
What should you pack for Paris ?
I always check the weather before I head to a destination. When I was there in October the first two days were unseasonably summer. Take a comfortable shoe with support. You won’t be walking in heels. Trust me. I had ballet flats on for my big walk day and after hours of cobblestone and booking it all over town, these no support shoes nearly killed me. My body could keep going but my feet couldn’t. (Note to self: collapsable ballet flats are only for emergency). The last few days we had to tour around became seasonably October and quite chilly. I had my flat motorcycle boots. They saved my life. I would also suggest a great messenger bag to cross over your body if you are thinking about buying some things on the way. Makes it difficult to get around when you are carrying a ton of bags and your camera. For the cooler days I decided to layer a jersey jacket over a long tee and a big wrapped scarf over jeggings for comfort. My John Richmond glasses are my fav for total sun blockage…….and hiding exhausted eyes.
For walking the streets for hours it would be insane to think you can do that in heels all day even if they are a wedge. Here’s a few hip sneaker options for the road warrior in you…
For sneaker to high wedge transition check out these puppies from Y3….
The roads of Paris are cement and cobble stone. If you plan on walking for shopping only here’s some stylish, comfortable footwear try options like these…

When I want to travel in style I bring my Samsonite Alexander McQueen luggage. I bought it before he shocked the fashion world by taking his life. I’m sure it’s difficult to come by but I just found it on EBay for $1,000!
